Well, I'm jealous. ...And I lived in Lexington for 6 years. Anyway,
it is still snow flurrying on some days, it's pretty cold. Daffodils
are just blooming, and some of my siberians are just a few inches
tall. Many perennials are up but some are just now breaking ground.
This simply isn't normal, folks. The daffs are usually finished by
the 2nd or 3rd week of March in most years. It must be La Nina,
now, I guess. Some spurias are just peeking through the ground.
My Iris 'Golden Waves' is about 1 inch tall. However, there are
some peonies now unfolding their leaves, and my Trollius are
starting to bloom, and my SDBs are in bud. But I do smell Spring
in the air, and soon I'll be needing to put gas in the lawnmower.
