Re: Joe Pye Weed cultivars in Canada
As Edmundas is posting so many picture of Jan & Marty's recent intros, I
thought that I had best clarify my last statement.
Jean-Marc is a fairly new hybridizer in Quebec, not far from Ottawa. He has
recently begun a mail order business for beardless irises -- Borealiris. As
he is hybridizing, he has been importing some of the newer cultivars as
breeding stock and will likely be marketing his own introductions in a few
years. While he doesn't carry all of Jan & Marty's stuff, he carries many.
If his catalogue does not list what you are looking for, check if he has it
and you may wheedle him to part with a piece. Or you can do what we do. We
place joint orders and split the phyto costs.
Off She Goes came to us as a bonus iris -- and what a bonus! Shauna, if you
want to wait til next year, I can reserve a piece for you.
