Greg,
I see tissue culture helping hybridizers getting new products to the market
faster.
Clone that new intro, say S&S clones "Turn A Phrase" into thousands over
three years versus tens and eventually hundreds of plants over many years.
But then it is also what the market hears and knows, Caesar's Brother! Look
through the garden books, mags etc., I have, and what do you see and read,
Caesar's Brother!
Graeme Grosvenor's book IRIS FLOWER OF THE RAINBOW irks me a little. Very
good book, should help with the popularity of iris in general. Certainly prefers
LAs to all other beardless iris. I think LAs are very diverse in color and
form but are not great landscaping plants. This is where Sibs really excell!
