cloning

From: "Harold Peters" <harold@directcon.net>

I am not sure what you mean by cloning Siberians. In a major sense,
Siberians and other irises clone themselves everytime they grow another
rhizome or bulb. Each rhizome and bulb is a new unit capable of independent
growth and genetically identical to the parent. In non-technical terms, I
thought this was the essence of "cloning".

Tomorrow I will take a look at my Siberians and give a report on the
good/weak growing ones.
