Re: ID question: is this a sib?


Folks, I just can't thank you enough for the ID.  After seeing the
pic on Bob's spuria pages I'm also convinced it is I. gramminea.  Looks 
just like mine, and the description of the growth habit is the same 
too.  I'll have to remember to get close and check out the fragrance 
next spring.  =)  I'm so excited to have another species iris!  

I forgot to mention it but another thing aboiut this iris that caught 
my attention was the seed pod- it was round instead of elongated and 
had quite distinctive ridges along it.  That was the first thing that 
made me think it wasn't a siberien.  

Bob-  Loved your website.  Can't wait to spend more time browsing it.

Deb-  Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed my webpage.  I'm still updating
with new dahlia pics as I get them developed, and I have lots more 
irises and daylillies to add as they bloom next spring.  It satisfies 
my (almost) obsessive/compulsive need to organize stuff. =)
