Re: Moving clumps in the fall?


LOL I did have to read that twice on the first time through.  Left me
guessing, thanks for clearing it up.  Me, I move them when I *have* to.....
I moved 28 2 and 3 year clumps last fall to a new display bed, all of them
made it and are doing well.  We have very dry summers, I don't think we have
had rain since May...  My new bed is mulched 6-8" with pine needles ( free
here) and on drip irrigation soaker hoses snaking through the beds.  I can't
wait until the first good rain. Everything is so dusty!!  So here I think
Harold is right ( I should have listened to you Harold)  Late fall is best
when they can enjoy the rain.   deb Ca Sierra Foothills zone7 .
