There sure has been a lot of talk about Jewelled Crown
on the list lately!
So...guess what I just got in the mail a week ago? A
nice division of Jewelled Crown now potted up in the
back yard in a shady spot waiting for an idle moment
on a coming weekend before the first frosts.
The photo in Graeme Grosvenor's book makes JC look
very deep purple, but some tell me it's more reddish.
I haven't seen it in person. The photos make it look
pretty yummy though.
By the way, mucho real estate in my garden has been
dedicated to spurias...I put in about 16 more recently.
I'm not quitting siberians, it's just that my water bill
was getting higher and higher, so restraint was in order.
I planted Little Papoose recently, next to my Flight
of Butterflies.
