Hello Leroy!
It is still an issue. I reported back in June that the only difference is
in the length of the haft. Last week I talked to a good friend of Julius
Wadekamper's (who introduced Gull's Wing) She said that Julius told her he
took a numbered seedling out of Dr. McGarveys's garden per an agreement
with his widow and introduced it as Gull's Wing. Originally Esther CDM was
introduced at the unheard of price of $1500. He said the seedling could
have been Esther CDM marked with a seedling number to protect against
theft. It may be Esther CDM or a sister seedling? I now grow both plants,
but Esther CDM is only 5 months old and had only two flowers. I would like
to hear from Carol Warner, I believe she lists both in her catalog?
