This is quite interesting. I don't have Esther CDM but have wanted to
acquire it. Gull's Wing is really nice but I have sold down to a very few
small fans which won't be blooming till they grow larger.

I have found that large flowered white siberians are the hottest commodity,
I can hardly keep enough stock of Gull's Wing or Harpswell Happiness. Moon
Silk, Wing on Wing, Pas de Deux all very popular as well!

Why do all the ladies prefer white? Some insight into your landscape
prefereces would be appreciated. Are there any other white varieties that
people can suggest? Fancy new ones, some new ones were listed in the SSI
Bulletin ads.

I have a bit of a lull today, my back was bothering me, did not have to go
lanscraping, and finally got most of the fall shipped perennial orders out.
Working on odds n' ends and just relaxing so I have time to compose a flurry
of e-mails to my fellow Sib-Robineers. In a few weeks back to digging lily
bulbs.

Sorry to barge in but I don't usually have this much time on my hands till
winter sets in to disccuss various topics.

On the test garden discussion, I believe it is a good idea but perhaps hard
to implement. With the Loomis Garden sounds like not everyone agrees with
the way it is set up perhaps?

Every society seems to have its awards for perfomance. The daylily has the
Lennington Award which is supposed to be for over 10 years in trade and
performs well in a large number of regions. That way everyone does the
testing and its the judges votes which elect the top performers. I think
that such a system may be easier to set up than a test garden but maybe not
as good?

Either way it is going to take some dedicated work.

Would like to discuss sometime about judging. I took a course in
horticultural judging as part of my Hort diploma but only have an apprentice
judge certificate and have never been able to apprentice under an accredited
judge. Would be nice to get some pointers or educational correspondance by
way of the internet, kind of like a long-distance education thing.

Anyways,

Bye for now.
