Every year I take notice of some top performers which really stand out. This
year Mary Lousie Michie was outstanding for clump effect and bloom display.
It is also perhaps one of the pinker of the lavender pinks I have seen. I
enjoyed the history Anna Mae Miller gave on this one. It is interesting
hearing about how some of these have come into existence. MLM appears to
have new or different blood to add to those breeding lines.
Another variety that has been great every year and I would have to rate as
the best white (near white) I grow is Creme Chantilly. Consistently produces
more blooms and longer bloom period than most other Siberians. Always triple
budded on terminal and branches have 2, sometimes 3 buds for the best
branching and bud count. As a bonous it is quite ruffled as well.
Honourable mention goes to Roaring Jelly, just love the color, and
Coronation Anthem.
Would like to here your top performers this last season, especially any
newer ones.

Leroy, I'm glad that Mary Louise Michie performed so well in your area. It
is indeed pinker in my book than any of the others and I have grown all of
them. I also agree on Roaring Jelly, I love it. I've liked Marshmallow
Frosting as a tetraploid and also Tiffany though I have only seen it growing
in other gardens. MoonSilk is a nice creamy white and Linda Mary has been a
good clump performer for me. I've gotten a bit behind with the move 3 yrears
ago but have been planting some of the newer introductions but it does take
time for them to become established. Looking forward to next spring. Anna
