I asked my friend Ardi Kary (daughter of the late hybirider, Peterson, who hybridized Silent Tears) about whether or not ST is a broken color genetically or what, and she did not know for sure.  She has never crossed it to other broken colored irises. 

 

Is there a good broken horned or flounced iris out there that it could be crossed with?  None of my BC's are space-agers.
