My thinking is based on beards and falls being separate entities.
Beards, protohorns and horns in general are related . Flounces and
Spoons are phenomena of the fall. The mirroring of the color pattern on
the underside of flounces and spoons suggest the mirror imaging found in
identical twins rather than the clone appearance if they were additional
fall(s) stacked on top of each other.

BS and Bse were just temporary tags I used till something better comes
to mind. BS is only temporary till we can get the correct terms from
Kelly or Bill Shear or others. It probably would have been better if i
had used AFSE (Additional Fall Stem Extension) rather than BSE which is
a poor term for effects that appear only to be related by location. The
phenomena can be separate, partially combined as in Patrick Orr's recent
photo of THORNBIRD or combined, such as in PHEASANT FEATHERS.

REMEMBER these are just my theories. I wish someone with the skills and
knowledge would do some slicing and dicing to see if there is any
microscopic evidence one way or the other... Observed effects are not
scientific causes.
