It appears the sequencing could be off here (again) this year. In
perusing the garden this morning I already have stalks on a couple of
IBs and even an early TB up. Oddly though, few of the MDBs are out yet
or SDBs. They have buds but just seem to be taking their merry time
about opening. MDB bloom within the class is out of order a bit. WISE
is usually one of the last to start blooming and will easily bloom until
some of the early TB's start and will already have two blossoms open
tomorrow.
Donald,
Would you be willing to send pollen of that SA seedling you posted? I
would like to use that on some MDBs in hopes of achieving some nice SA
MDBs. If this is a possibility let me know. It looks to be quite
charming.
Happy irising to all!

Chris,

Anyone is out of their mind to make ANY iris crosses :).
>Any sight of a stalk on my Tbird seedling
No. Don't think it's going to try this year. Same with a lot of TBs
here.
Don't know why. They've waited too late now. If they do try, they'll
get
cooked. Been a weird year for the timing of bloom. Out of sequence.
Some
late ones are blooming at the same time as some of the early ones and
the
mid-season bunch just beginning to show color. Everything has been
late.
If I get lucky, the weather will have a late, damp cool spell. If I'm
not
lucky, two weeks from now the buds are going to look like beef jerky.
