Yeah, modern schmadern, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Not everyone will like it all. We all have our personal tastes, and, like style, it's a singular thing. Tho, I like them all. Even an ugly bloom has a good trait to it somewhere. That's why i keep trying with the throwbacks and hope to get an interesting new color eventually. I just had a couple of new SA's open this morning, but they are a bit draggled from the rain last night. Got a bit beaten down from the downpour here. Tomorrow should be a warmer sunny day, and i hope to get some good shots of them. I'll have to wait for the next buds to open to get some pollen counts going. I have a huge old Mohr that i've been working with to see if i get that large bloom trait in an SA type, but none have gone that way sofar.
  Looks like i also got some takes on my hybridizing of a couple days ago. Used some that i'v just gotten to bloom again, and hope they come out as SA, but if not i have loads of new ones that weren't SA trendy.

The resolution of your photos is probably fine.  Just reduce the physical size of them (not dpi) so they're easier to view and faster to download.
 
Your program seems interesting, it's an area I'd like to work in as well but I just haven't had the chance to make many crosses in that direction.  There's a guy on the Iris Photos list that has made many interesting crosses between WABASH and newer cultivars., some of the seedlings are stunning.  Many will complain that the form is not modern but these things are subjective.
