{Disarmed} Re: [SpaceAgeRobin] Spring Bloom

Wow Jim, close call! Glad you came through OK. It's nice to hear good news about bloom season; lots of sad reports over on iris-talk from the cold blast.

Chris, I wasn't really able to allow my iris fetish to run rampant until I moved to VA, so I didn't have to deal with MN's weather whims with regards to iris growing. I did have a few oldies from my Gramma there, but they were tough! (One of Gramma's irises threw proto-horns back in VA, but the one year it's bloomed since (because of the moves) it bloomed without them.)

It'll be interesting to see my seedlings, mostly because they're my first babies, but also because they're wide crosses. I can't remember offhand if I have any survivors from this cross, (I'd have to run out and look and it's cold and rainy out) but I did cross 'Time Traveler' (gold bald-horned SA) with 'Edith Wolford'. LOL. I'm pretty sure I've got a survivor with a cross from TT and 'Ave', and another from TT and 'Afternoon Delight'. Should be interesting...
