Sand Hollow/Chadwick

The area the Sand Hollow plantings are in is one with which I am fully familiar--Melvina Suiter, when I first met her, lived a few miles south of their location on the old US 30--the main highway before I-84 was built in the sixties.  There is a connector only about a mile long from their area over to the Interstate.

The Chadwicks and the fellow from New Plymouth they introduce for are not folks I remember meeting.  I have a sister living across the Payette River from New Plymouth--she loves iris but grows only a few--to many competing involvements.  I was going to ask her to look them both up.  I've just never gotten around to it....she has no computer, thus communication is by phone or envelope with stamp.

When I look through the list of accredited Judges for Region 11 I recognize only a few names.  The immediate past RVP was a trainee when I left there.

Our family properties were several miles west of both Sand Hollow and New Plymouth in warmer and more fertile areas.

I left that area over twenty years ago......The last time I was through there I could not belive the changes.  It sure didn't feel like "home" any more. Our old home place that my grandfather started and where I grew up is now a subdivision, and an ugly one at that.
