Neil explained more fully in the part I deleted.
I would sugest that any who have the plants, time, and space make
reciprical crosses. Then we can check to confirm, or refute, that
there is no difference.
It is easy to do the math comparing two populations like that. The
numbers in the two populations need not be anywheere near equal.
If it is confirmed that there is no statistical difference, then the
two populations can be lumped to provide higher numbers for the
annalysis of the whole population.
If a statistical difference is found, then we have learned something
important with very little extra work.
So please keep records as detailed as possible on anything you can
think of.
