Chris and others,
I believe FOGBOUND, whether it falls into shelved
or non-shelved (the probable condition), would be an excellent one for both this
year and next, considering the quality showing up in its seedlings. As to
the beard, both in color and character, I don't find it intrusive here, and it
is much lighter and pinker in my garden than what it appears to show for
Bill. It's just a beard. What shows is more white than anything
else.
I might add that several of my seedlings from it
have BLUE beards, and some are vivid red, depending on the other parent's
genetics. I'd show some of those if they were in better condition, but we
had hail and high wind just as the TB season was starting. breaking many stalks,
bending others half over, and ripping, practically shredding any blossoms about
to open. My only photos were taken of blossoms in that
condition.
