I noted in Chris's quote from the Check List that the introducer was Stanley Iris. Here's the link to Stanley homepage. They carry about 3000 varieties, but show a few at a time on the photo pages.

Star, ID, is a suburb of Boise--NW of the city a few miles. Melvina Suiter lived near there toward the end of her iris breeding years. They are about 35-40 miles from Riverview and about the same from Lucille Pinkston (OWYHEE DESERT, etc) in Parma.
