Bill,
I'm concerned too, especially with the first out break ever here of
borer and then rot. All off this stress had me giving the Daylilies a
supportive two thumbs up for being so resistant to all of the elements
and pests. Where some of the irises literally wilted away in the sun
where the Daylilies held up strong. I'm not saying I'm going to abandon
Iris, it's just that the newer ones don't grow like some of my old
historics and I have a bit of a problem with that. This is why vigor is
a priority for me here in this climate. RAMSESES is still my benchmark
plant in this class. A modern one that approaches this is DOCTOR NO,
this is a great choice for SAGE.
