Hi, Margaret. Glad you spoke up. This
is a lively group--we sure don't get bored.
If something goes sailing over the hairdo, please
speak up and ask what is meant. Some of us get carried away and start
tossing 25 dollar words around when 10-cent ones would do--I'm probably the most
guilty of that as anyone.
This SAGE project is going to be a lot of fun, we
think. Our hope is that we not only can discover something about Space Age
inheritance, but maybe there'll be a few irises worth naming in those
seedling rows.
---And just maybe, some of those folks who think
Space Age Iris should stay on the Science Fiction Channel and not bother *real*
people just might discover talking about them on "CNN" or the "Wayne Brady
Show" isn't so far out after all. Taking Space Agers seriously enough to
start asking questions about how those traits get inherited is something that
hasn't really been given much thought before.
