I have always thought of plants as little computers, much as if they were constantly performing "do loops" in an archaic fortran computer language monitoring necessities and taking action. Now real scientists lend support. I hope others can access this link. I found it a welcome diversion.
Do plants act like computers?: Leaves appear to regulate their 'breathing' by conducting simple calculations.
