[SpaceAgeRobin] Re: some suggestions for some additions


Happy New Year Neil,

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you regarding your 
interesting post. Did Rick happen to mention why he thought these 
cultivars would be good candidates for our SAGE project.   These 
suggestions kind of come from left field since we hadn't discussed 
any of them in our preliminary SAGE discussions.  Of course, all 
worthy candidates should be considered and ANNOUNCEMENT does 
interest me because it showed flounces on a single and the only 
bloom that it produced in Russia for Juri, if I'm not mistaken.  

I can't say I'm taken with TRILLION at first glance and I couldn't 
find photos of the others at the Superstition site.  Beautiful 
photos though, wow.  

Perhaps, we can add a few more cultivars for the following year if 
we can all agree that the stock we're using is too outdated.  Come 
to think of it, we never really came to any conclusions as to what 
non SAs we were going to use for the crosses that we expect to get 
SAs from.

I'm looking forward to the growing season, especially after numerous 
deep freeze/thaw with rain cycles.  I have not lost snow cover yet 
but close.
