Canaveral and other things

I am glad to see that this iris was mentioned.  It is one of my favorites and has done well here for the last couple of years.  Sadly though, much of it rotted and I am nursing a few small ones back to health but I have others that could use my favoritism!!

And now to the other things…….

1.  I noticed today on a reblooming stalk of TEA LEAVES that it has fairly large protohorns /beard spine extensions.  I didn’t get a chance to snap a pic but has anyone else noticed this?  It does have SKY HOOKS as the pod parent so it definitely is in the mix.

2.  Has anyone considered using SNOW SPOON in the SAGE project?  I may have mentioned this before but SNOW SPOON doesn’t have SKY HOOKS in its parentage.  Would this be valuable in our project?  I consider it a meritorious feature because sometimes as we know the SKY HOOKS line can pass along “doggish” characteristics to things that can be considered undesirable.

Happy irising!
