Neil,

An interesting and educational post as usual, thank you for taking the time 
to post this.  Also, thanks for your recruitment efforts.  I see you've 
added the SA Robin links to your signature recently and we've had a half 
dozen new members join over the last two weeks.  Good work !

I actually got kicked off one of the general Iris lists by some unforgiving 
fellow named Spike for trying to add the Yahoo links on my posts.    I 
forget which one it is now, not yours BTW John.

On the growing front, I've finally have a significant number of seedling 
stalks (80 or so) that are about 1 week away from blooming.  I sprayed twice 
with Cygon 2E and have sprayed all of the stalks with Green Earth 
insecticidal soap several times to attempt to control the little borers that 
bore through the spathes and destroy the blooms. I really hope to control 
these pests this year, I'll find out in about a weeks time.
