Well, Chris.  You certainly are off to a flying start!  That is a beauty,
and if it is as consistent in Quebec as it is, it could be a very good one
for use to build up reliability in SA's for all of us.

Re cutworms:  I'm wondering if Merit (Bayer Advanced ....Grub
Control/imidicloprid) would have made a difference.  If it affects aphids,
surely verbena moth and cutworms like you describe would be vulnerable as
well.

In the past I do recall a few times I've found what you describe--the hole
into the bud, insides consumed--but I never saw the critter.  I don't think
I have run into this yet here in NC.  Other nibblers have been around
(rabbits), but not this worm.
