Finally got a picture of this rare Reblooming Spaceage Luminata
seedling of John Reeds (California)

Were there ever a doubt pictures are better than words, this picture should put the issue to rest.

John detailed the emergence of this seedling on the [iris] list last year and it got not even a ho-hum response. Too, I commented on the merit I had seen in those words I had seen describing John's product on the SpaceageRobin.

My conclusion is: The web coupled with photo capacity and the ability to type have began a long needed reversal of a tail wag the dog mentality where worthy irises go beyond the suppression they have long endured by the judge's lists and board policies designed to entrench the leadership of that group's interests in lieu of those of the masses and iris promotion.

Regardless, as Squires states this seedling may well be a first or at the very least a very near a first. Here it will be viewed as a line of demarcation regardless of lists. In fact, John, until you make a registration decision I'll be naming it "DEMARCATION" and should you choose so, you are welcome to any rights I have to this iris name.

Congratulation oh ye picky and of little faith..... well done.

Bill Burleson
