Kelly, the SAGE article is in the AIS *Bulletin*
coming out shortly. Because Bruce Filardi has a new agency handling the
mailing of the issues beginning with this one, you won't have to wait until the
middle of May to see the April copy. You may even get it the first week of
April!
The article that will appear in TBIS's *Tall Talk*
is a separate matter and does not directly refer to SAGE.
I would be happy to send you a copy of the
latter. The main article, however, you will have in durable hard copy in a
week to ten days if I am not mistaken. If you need it before then, let me
know.
A membership in TBIS is something you might
consider as worth while. It is only $10 per year, does not conflict in any
way with your AIS involvement, and includes two issues a year of a very well
written and produced issue of *Tall Talk* which has featured many useful
articles over the three years I have seen copies. Back issues are
available, incidentally.
Published authors in TT include Keith Keppel,
Richard Ernst, Barry Blyth, and any number of other folk whose names will be
familiar to you. Judy Nunn, the present editor, and Rita Gormley, the
previous editor, have done excellent work in recruiting and preparing articles
for the publication.
I consider my membership in TBIS money very well
spent, as I do my memberships in AIS, ASI, HIPS and the Society
for Siberian Irises. I intend to add the Median Iris Society to that
list--I just haven't gotten it done yet.
My wife says, "Boy, you sure do get a lot of
catalogs!" That's true, too, but she doesn't realize the journals aren't
catalogs, at least not exactly.
If the MS Word format isn't one you can read, let
me know. I have a .txt copy of the same article.
