Bill
I collect my pollen into little test tubes which I keep labelled in a rack
in the fridge in a sealed container with milk powder as a desiccant. Mostly
the pollen I'm using is less than a week old but have had strikes with it
months old.
We don't get a lot of rain during bloom season, and I mostly pollinate onto
very fresh flowers, sometimes I force them open if they are not quite there.
I usually pollinate in early morning or late evening because of work
commitments.
Did some pollinating while in California, all with very fresh pollen and
probably got at least 50%.
