Wild Wings also will set pods, and may give better results if used as mama.  Yes, crosses with it as a suspected "non producer" or at least the child of one (Romantic Evening) can be useful in uncovering a "normalizing" or suppresor genetic control if one exists.  WW is probably one that has perhaps only one dosage of the factor which may well be present in only one dose (which it probably is).
 
I'm going to try to make crosses with it also.  I think I have one bloomstalk coming on it.
 
I may not get more of Michael M's photos forwarded today, as a couple of other non-computer things are at work, this being Sunday (although I don't go out in public much, but did go for the Friday morning service, the first I've been to in months.)
