Re: [SpaceAgeRobin] BSE?

Of a sort maybe?  CHERRY SMOKE had the little white membrane extension on

you glanced at the blooms.
If you look in the archieves where the discussion was about ledges and shelves( precursors to BSE) it is just what we were talking about. I apologize for the poor choice of color contrast but in foto 1W you should be able to see the next step where the BSE has seperated from the fall and started to form an appendage.
Since the appendages on the T'bird seedling I
have are attached to the fall for about the same length before they are free
appendages, I wondered if this sort of thing might be involved in SA
characteristics.

The foto 2W makes the BSE easier to see as it begins lifting further along the fall. This is my favorite kind of BSE . Its my opinion that the longer the horn or appendage stays attached to the fall the better the nutrient supply will be. Meiningers LAVENDER ICICLE and  CORAL PINCUSHION are good examples of long bushy horns with long attachment and BARBARAS LACE  is the best example for a flounce.
