Re: [SpaceAgeRobin] Re: [iris-photos] TB: seedling blooming today

Hello Chris, Thanks for the kind words. I'm pretty happy with this one
too. I've had alot that arn't this nice, old lookers, monsters etc. I'll
spare the group those dogs and beasties :). It is possible this seedling is
out of HST or Thornbird. It's out of that same batch of seedlings as the
ones that bloomed last year. Looks like most of my favorite seedlings
from last year arn't going to bloom this year. I moved them all last
summer, and we had a drought, I'm sure that had an effect on them.
They did increase good, and nobody rotted, so next year should be
good. As far as this one (SA0205) being pod fertile, I dobbed But
Beautiful on it today. Hope it takes, it's one of my favorites. I've made a
bunch of crosses this year so far. Some with SAGE in mind, others with
broken color and rebloom. I'll post takes later on. Looking forward to
seeing some of yours. :)

Will,

Wow, your seedling is very nice !  So,if I'm not mistaken, this would
be either from Thornbird or Hubble Space Telescope x unknown, right ?
I find the form to be pleasing and the horns to be a nice addition to
the bloom over all.

If I could get a few seedlings as nice as some of your seedlings, I'd
be very pleased. Good news is that I've detected quite a bit of
swelling out in the patch so I'm looking forward to seeing these
plants reveal their true identities.

I sprayed once very lightly with Cygon two weeks ago and I'm going out
again in about an hour to spray again.  I'm hoping to get my hands on
some low toxicity pesticides for next year.

Please keep posting the seedling photos.
Chris
