400 pods!!!

Yep, pretty close. I attempted 1600 bloom pollinations. I count those from the tag boxes. Early in the season I was getting one in three strikes sometimes even better. Later the strike rate tailed off. I am estimating but think myself close.

Because of the weeds I started marking pods with surveyors tape. I got about half way cross the yard, counted the flags (180). I started frettin' all the work so quit marking 'em. Denial is lagitimate defense against work. The estimate will be close. I still have some blooming. Longest bloom season in my history. Plus JIs started a day or two ago. Only have a few of those but they also get pollen.

That's just a momentary hesitation prior to the flight response coupled to lack of intellect. Work hard and fearlessness can be overcome. <laughin'>

Here my lack of intellect relies on the bigger hammer theory of deficiency compensation.

Just hit it long enough with big enough and it will fall in place. A lot of stuff gets broken here.

Its a real easy plan to follow.

Actually I'm working toward second and third generation results. I used only a few pollen parents.
