In my experience, maternal inheritance becomes significant only when there is a difference in maternal ancestry.  Just make a reciprocal cross using an arilbred with TB cytoplasm and one with Onco cytoplasm and you'll see what I mean.

Yes, I know that there are exceptions like the variegated foliage and will never pretend to be an expert on TBs.
