I thought I'd post a few pictures of my seedling beds for you all to see. I
am Bcc:ing friends and family at the same time as well.
I am supposed to be out there planting seeds right now, but I just don't
have the motivation today...but I'll get it done!
Future bed is all ready for seedlings in the
spring. During the summer they will be shade clothed 4 feet up to protect them
from the sun and to keep that wall from producing a lot of reflected heat.
Current Bed has some TB's, some Jenkin's Spu
seedlings and some Jenkin's I.Lactia X Spu seedlings, along with a few
introduced medians and an arilbred.
Current Bed 2 shows a closer up view of the
TB's. The cross is RETURN TO SENDER X BROADBAND. I planted them 6
inches apart as is suggested just seven months ago, and they each have 2 to 4
increases on them. They look crowded already, so I am questioning whether 6
inches is enough space from now on.
Current Bed 3 shows a closer view of SOFTLY
(Tasco '04). It is growing great guns after only a month.
Current and Future Bed still needs some shaping
up and water system installed. There are some drastically neglected older
seedlings I have had in pots for the last few years that I finally got into the
ground, and some late intro arrivals.
Current and Future Bed 2 is a closer view of
the seedlings and rose hedge. It has been suggested by many that I rip
those roses out of there and make room for more seedlings, but HOW COULD
I??? They are doing so well!
