Re: AIS: Sage article issues

Hello Neil,

I'd like to encourage you not to make it too simple. I haven't read
anything since Austin's "Controlled Evolution" article that has really
captured my attention for more than a minute or two. Lets face it,
Austin touched virtually all the bases in his article but I think you
shouldn't hold back too much.

If we're hoping to tweak people's interests and imaginations about Space
Age Irises, it should to be an article that does into great detail on
the subject. Not only did Austin share with us a gold mine of useful
information on the subject, he also accompanied it with a boat load of
hype to get gardeners to write the names of his new horned introductions
on the order form.

As far as I'm concerned, a short diluted article will not be enough to
generate a wave of interest that I believe is lacking in Space Age
Irises right now. Readers like myself would love to sink their teeth
into something thick and juicy but this is just my opinion. Has Bruce
given you limitations in terms of the length of the article ?

I really appreciate the hard work you're doing to write the article on
behalf of the SAGE project and I'm sure that the final version of your
document will be nothing short of exquisite.

Chris
