I would eat the blossoms and heavily mulch the plant to see if it doesn't
flower again later in the season, if the plants themselves don't survive the
frost, then plant a second batch of squash at the regular planting time.
I have to admit I am very jealous at the thought of you eating some fried
squash blossoms this time of year!
