Wow, Thanks! Without even knowing it, I was already
planning a good start for my melons. I bought 200 pounds
of manure to work into the garden and black plastic
to control weeds.
Is it OK to use pine needles to hold moisture in?
In the past 3 weeks, I loaded up 48 - 39 gallon bags,
plus made a pile over 20 feet longs, 4 to 5 feet high and
6 to 8 feet wide of pine straw from my yard.
Got to be something useful I can do with all of this
straw.
Thanks for your help! I feel a lot more like I might
actually grow something. this is our first spring
in our first house and I'm determined to grow a
garden.
Take care
Pamela
