As a new member of the list, I would like to introduce myself & give a
small run-down on my vegetable garden.
I live in New York on Long Island. My town leases small pieces of land
to Landowners for private use.
Have constructed about 200 SQ FT of raised beds, in which I grow my
vegetables organically.
With minor exception, I start all my plants from seeds. Sources used for
seeds have been: Thompson & Morgan, Cook's Garden Seeds, Burpee, Tottaly
Tomatoes.
Grow 8 varieties of tomatoes, 8 Varietes of peppers, melons, winter &
summer squash, 8 variety of lettuce, garlic, onions, herbs,
strawberries, blue berries, cuccumbers, pole beans, bush beans, spinach,
sugar peas, radishes, carrots, and probably a few other vegetables.
