Here's me quoting you--why buy food when I can grow them myself?? This is
(hopefully) a sure-fire way to keep me in fresh veggies through the summer
with out paying ridiculous amounts of money. I HATE spending more than
0.99 for a head of lettuce--esp if it goes bad before I can finish it off.
Also, I refuse to buy tomatoes from the supermarket--no smell, no taste!!!
If I haven't been able to make it to the store (or haven't had the cash) I
can always boil an egg and pick some greens and feel like a good mom. I
can't afford to by basil for pesto--but I'll be swimming in it this summer
and fall (I hope.) I love roasted peppers and stir fry pea pods but can't
afford them as much as I'd like either.
Are those enough reasons for you? I've got more.
Happy sowing and reaping folks.
