Thank you for responding. (I am in southern california.) I think the bees
were scouts. They are all gone now, except the ones that are normally in
the garden. I had mixed emotions if they were scouts and looking for a
home. I hope they have settled nearby however and not where someone will
harm them. I live near an avocado orchard with permanent bee hives. I
suspect they were coming from there.
You say you can entice them into a 'home of your preference'. How do you do
that?
