Hi all,

  Thanks for the asparagus bug info!  I'll prepare to squish/drown. Here's
my question:  After planting asparagus roots, I covered with a couple inches
of dirt I had excavated from the trench I dug.  Awful stuff- very clayey.
Can I take some of my wonderful compost and add that on top of the dirt ? Or
is it too rich for the roots?
