bell pepper problem

Went out to the garden to find the foliage wilted on one of my bell pepper plants. Gave it a good drink of water; but the next day it was still wilted. Pulled it up and looked at the roots; there was no sign of a problem. -Just the day before it was a healthy plant loaded with peppers.

TIA for any thoughts/advice.
