Re: Tomato's


Hi Marlon...finding out your zone depends on where you live...I might be
able to tell you what it is if you live in Canada, but for the rest of the
world, you would need some one elses help...

Now to the tomatoes...you will get different answers on this...but for me,
I cut most of the stems off and leaves too, to enable more energy to get to
the ripening fruit..I think it depends on where you live.  I have heard
that exposing the tomatoes to the direct sun can burn them, but here, that
is not a problem..our tomatoes end when we get our first frost, that is if
we don't cover them.  I do that for a while if it's an early frost and then
cut them off and bring the whole plant in to ripen the tomatoes...but that
again depends on how many plants you have.  I have had tomatoes continue to
ripen even though we got a heavy enough frost to wilt the leaves, but those
were the ones that were left outside when I had a much larger crops of
tomatoes (140 plants) and at that time I was so tired of bringing in
tomatoes, I didn't care :D
