Re: Parsnips

My Gardening Bible says " In southern and western states where winters
are mild , spring planted parsnips continue growing, becoming tasteless
and woody, so they should be planted in these areas in the fall and
grown for a winter crop."   Tom & Fonta  Northern Va. Zone 6.
