You've had quite a few suggestions already, but you might like to
consider these possibilities? The blue flowered green manure
<phacelia> is extremely attractive to bees (it has about the same
effect on bees here as buddleias have on butterflies <g>) and is VERY
fast growing. Also clumps of buckwheat strategically sown round the
target area attract many insects including (particularly) hoverflies
who can then proceed to keep your aphid population properly
terrorised too. FWIW... <s>
