Personally, we have been busy harvesting, and with the heat wave, that has
not been an easy task. To date, we have canned, or if you prefer bottled
66 quarts of tomatoe juice, frozen 60 quarts of corn, frozen peaches for my
peach pies this winter, and froze transparent apples for pies. The second
corn patch is now ready, tomatoes still producing, and there is much more
work to do. Maybe between the heat and the work, everyone's gardening
problems are on the back burner.
I would like to ask about transparent apple trees, I buy my apples, and they
only produce every 2nd year at the orchard where I buy them. I would like
to plant a couple of trees, but do not know much about them. Does anyone
out in veggie land have any of these trees?
