Re: Non-flowering peas
Thanks to all who replied to my problem of the non-flowering peas. I
found the solution! Since they started getting more direct sun light
they have started flowering. It seems the green feast variety
doesn't need direct sunlight, but the snow peas, sugar snap and broad
beans need it to set flowers.
Our new vegetable bed is ready for spring and summer planting. I
read "Heirloom vegetable gardening" by William Weaver and it inspired
me to try some heirloom varieties as well as some of the more
unusual vegetables. I sowed asparagus peas, which germinated within
10 days, and plan to sow black salsify and spaghetti squash to start
with. So, any tips/advice from experienced growers are welcome.
