Re: Transplanting zucchini

Nesa,
I have had luck growing the squash family in paper pots made from paper bags. I cut a strip of bag tape it into a tube fill with soil and plant the seed in that.  When it is four weeks old I plant the entire pot in the ground on a overcast  day or in the late afternoon when the sun isn't intense After I harden them off of course LOL .  I water it in and viola usually have good results this way..I new england you learn tricks LOL

I am hoping to start some in a pot and then transplant them to the garden out doors.Since we are having lots of rain I think this might work better. On the other hand I've been told they dont transplant well.Any advice?By the way, are you guys Hibernating for the winter? My garden is still alive despite the monsoon.
