Sunny Delight Scallop Squash
This squash is stunning when harvested and used as a baby vegetable. This
is the "the cat's meow" of scallop squashes, with bright, beautiful fruit
that are flat, disk-shaped. they mature earlier than anything even remotely
similar--up to a week earlier.
Sunny Delight also resists greening from virus pressure better than other
yellow scallop squashes.
This is a high-yielding hybrid and the fruit holds its flat scalloped shape
longer on the vine. The bright yellow precocious fruits are borne in waves
and have small blossom scars for tidy appearance.
The flavour is excellent, the plants are semi-bush and open for easy
harvest, and nothing compares with it cooked and served as a whole baby
vegetable.
Matures in 40 days from direct sowing.
